Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives in 2026: what they trackSix tools for teams looking past Brand Radar, on engines, price and what you see behind an answer

Brand Radar tracks more AI engines than most and researches any brand you name. The six alternatives trade that breadth for price, a defensible rate, or the work being done.

Six Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives are worth a look: Omnipresence, Profound, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Otterly, Scrunch and Goodie. These AI visibility platforms differ on which AI engines they track, the starting price, and whether they hand you the work or just the score.

Omnipresence shows the searches and pages behind each answer and hands the fix to your own agent. Profound adds more engines for enterprise procurement. Semrush fits teams already in its suite.

Otterly is the cheap first test. Scrunch tracks eight engines, including AI Mode and AI Overviews. Goodie adds a human Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategist.

What Ahrefs Brand Radar does well, and when an alternative fits

Ahrefs Brand Radar is Ahrefs’ tool for making AI recommend your brand. It tracks brand visibility across AI answers and, currently, six engines: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT, with Claude on the AI Visibility Index plan.

Behind it is a database of 475M+ organic prompts, modeled from Ahrefs’ keyword database rather than captured directly from each platform. You see mentions, citations, share of voice against competitors, prompt volume, the sub-queries an AI runs before answering, AI traffic and bot visits.

It also reads YouTube, TikTok and Reddit visibility, free while that’s in beta.

It gives you two ways in. Custom Prompts let you track the exact questions your buyers ask, and come free with a paid Ahrefs Lite plan and up.

The AI Visibility Index shows any brand’s visibility instantly across those 475M+ prompts, no setup, and Ahrefs calls it best once your brand already shows up in AI search. It’s built for SEO and marketing teams already inside Ahrefs, who want to research a competitor’s AI visibility alongside their own.

A different tool fits when what you need isn’t more engines or a bigger prompt database.

If you can see the number but still have to do all the work yourself, an alternative that hands the fix to your agent fits. If you want a rate built on questions asked many times, with a confidence band, not a modeled estimate, that’s a different tool.

If you don’t already pay for Ahrefs, a standalone published-price tool may suit. If your budget can’t swing on a per-check allowance where Claude costs eight checks, a flat fee fits.

And if six-plus engines is more than you need, a tool that tracks the four chat assistants may be the cleaner read.

Omnipresence

Best for: teams that want the searches behind each answer and their own agent to fix them

If you can see the visibility number but still have to do all the work, Omnipresence is the one to look at first. It shows which buyer questions you’re losing on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, whether AI puts you forward as a pick or just names you, and the searches and pages behind each answer, including pages the assistant read but never cited.

Then it hands the fix to the agent you already use, on Pro and up, with a dated record of what changed. Each question is asked many times, so the share of voice you report is real, not one lucky answer, and a few questions stay untouched as a comparison so you can prove the lift was your work.

Plans start at $19 a month on Starter, $69 on Pro and $239 on Agency, billed annually, with a 7-day trial on Pro.

Pros

  • Recommendation vs just a mention, asked many times
  • The searches and pages behind each answer, including pages read but never cited
  • Proof the lift was your work, with a dated record of what changed
  • Your own agent runs the playbook on Pro and up
  • No cap on tracked questions

Cons

  • Four assistants only, so no AI Overviews, AI Mode or Copilot tracking, which Brand Radar covers
  • You bring your own OpenRouter or OpenAI key and pay the model cost at list price
  • Top-choice data is partial

Profound

Best for: enterprise brands in procurement needing more engines

Profound is built for enterprise procurement, with up to nine answer engines on Enterprise and a free 7-day trial, 50 prompts a day on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, on its pricing page. A Brand Radar user heading into a formal procurement process and wanting more engines than Brand Radar’s set fits here.

Pros

  • Free trial before a sales conversation
  • Up to nine answer engines on Enterprise

Cons

  • No published standard price, custom only
  • The trial is engine-limited

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best for: teams already inside the wider SEO and marketing suite

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is a standalone toolkit at $99 a month per domain, billed annually, on its own pricing tab, tracking ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. A team already inside Semrush that wants AI visibility without a second login, and that finds Brand Radar’s check-based pricing awkward, fits here.

Pros

  • A standalone toolkit with its own published price
  • Four core engines

Cons

  • Per-domain pricing stacks fast for agencies with many clients
  • It’s visibility-only, and the wider Semrush toolsets need a separate subscription

Otterly.AI

Best for: a cheap, published-price first test

Otterly.AI is the low-entry way in at $29 a month on its pricing page, no sales call, tracking ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan. A team that doesn’t already pay for Ahrefs and wants a first read on whether AI search mentions it fits here.

Pros

  • Published price, no sales call
  • ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan

Cons

  • 15 prompts a month on Lite, a small sample
  • Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons

Scrunch

Best for: mid-size brands needing AI Mode and AI Overviews coverage

Scrunch covers eight engines on a published price: Starter at $250 a month billed annually for 350 custom prompts and three seats, Growth at $417 a month, Enterprise custom, on its pricing page. The eight are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Meta AI and Copilot. A Brand Radar user who wants the AI Overviews and AI Mode coverage but a standalone tool, not an Ahrefs subscription, fits here.

Pros

  • Eight engines including AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta AI
  • Published pricing with a clear prompt and seat allowance

Cons

  • Entry price is high next to the focused trackers
  • Grok is listed as coming soon, not yet available

Goodie

Best for: teams that want an AEO strategist to do the work

Goodie bundles a human AEO strategist into the plan: Core at $399 a month for five models, 120 prompts and five seats plus the strategist, Pro at $999 a month for eight models, and Enterprise with up to 13 models, on its pricing page. A Brand Radar user who wants someone to turn the measurement into page work, and finds a score alone isn’t that, fits here.

Pros

  • An AEO strategist included with the plan
  • Up to 13 models on Enterprise

Cons

  • The most expensive entry on the list
  • Strategist support is plan-gated, so Core gets less of it

How much Ahrefs Brand Radar costs, and how the alternatives price

Brand Radar prices by checks, and the math matters. A check is one prompt on one platform in one location.

Custom Prompt packages start at $50 a month for 2,500 checks, $100 for 7,000 and $250 for 25,000, with per-check overage from $0.010 to $0.020 if you run over. The full AI Visibility Index starts at $199 a month and reads any brand across the 475M+ prompt database, no setup.

The catch is that Claude consumes eight checks per update where every other platform uses one, so Claude-heavy tracking burns the allowance about eight times faster.

The alternatives price differently. Omnipresence is a flat fee with no cap on tracked questions, $19 a month on Starter, $69 on Pro and $239 on Agency, billed annually, and you pay the AI providers at list price for the runs.

Semrush charges $99 a month per domain, which stacks for agencies with many clients. Otterly, Scrunch and Goodie publish per-plan prices, starting at $29, $250 and $399. Profound doesn’t publish standard pricing, so you talk to sales after the trial.

How to choose an Ahrefs Brand Radar alternative

Start with the engines your buyers actually use. A B2B brand whose buyers ask ChatGPT and Perplexity may need only the four chat assistants, and six-plus engines is more than they’ll read.

A consumer brand that lives in Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode needs those, and a tool that doesn’t track them, like Omnipresence, is the wrong pick for that job.

Scrunch covers both, plus Meta AI. Brand Radar covers both too, inside Ahrefs.

Then look at the sample and the rate. One probe is basically a coin flip, so a tool that asks each question once gives you a number that swings on a single answer.

Brand Radar’s prompt volume is modeled from a keyword database, not measured per platform, which is a different thing from a rate built on questions asked many times, with a confidence band. Ask how many times a question is asked, and whether the tool separates a recommendation from a passing mention.

Last, who does the work after the measurement. A visibility score tells you where you stand, and it doesn’t tell you which page to fix or fix it.

If what you need is the work shipped, Omnipresence hands the target and the method to the agent you already use and logs what changed.

The gap is real: in our 10x AI Visibility Refresh study, Google rank and AI citation barely lined up over 91 days, and 41 cited pages had no Google impressions. Knowing your rank doesn’t tell you what to fix.

FAQ

Is there a free alternative to Ahrefs Brand Radar?

Otterly publishes a $29 a month plan and Profound runs a free 7-day trial, so you can test either without a sales call. Ahrefs’ own AI Visibility Checker is free, but it’s a one-off snapshot, not a tracking tool. There’s no full free tracker on this list.

Does Ahrefs Brand Radar track AI Overviews and AI Mode?

Yes, currently. Brand Radar tracks Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT, with Claude on the AI Visibility Index plan. The alternatives vary: Scrunch covers both AI Overviews and AI Mode, Otterly covers AI Overviews, and Omnipresence tracks the four chat assistants only, so it doesn’t.

What’s the cheapest Ahrefs Brand Radar alternative?

Otterly publishes a $29 a month plan. Omnipresence starts at $19 a month billed annually. Both are the low published entries on this list, though Omnipresence’s $19 plan is read-only and you bring your own model key.
