Peec AI alternatives compared on what they trackSeven AI visibility tools to weigh up if you’re looking past Peec

Seven tools to weigh against Peec, depending on whether you need a published price, Claude or broader engines, or the chain behind each answer that Peec does not show.

Jonathan Boshoff · October 12, 2026 · 9 min read

The best Peec AI alternatives are Omnipresence, Otterly.AI, Semrush, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, Goodie and Profound. Peec AI tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode, reports visibility, position and sentiment, and publishes no USD price.

So the case for a Peec AI alternative is usually a published price, Claude in the mix, broader engines, or the chain behind an answer. An AI visibility platform like Omnipresence joins each prompt to the fanout queries and sources behind the answer, separates a recommendation from a passing mention, and hands the target to your own agent over MCP.

Peec AI’s pricing page lists Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise with no dollar figure, and a published price is the first thing the alternatives on this list give you that Peec doesn’t.

What Peec does well, and when an alternative fits

Peec is an AI search analytics platform built for marketing teams, and it covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and a dedicated AI Mode Visibility Tracker, with no Claude tracking listed on its homepage. It reports visibility, position and sentiment, surfaces the citation sources behind answers through its Find Key Sources feature, and turns out strategy recommendations, CSV exports, a Looker Studio connector and an API. A Peec MCP is live, so the approach isn’t self-serve only.

An alternative fits when one of a few things is true, and none of them is that Peec is bad at what it does. You might want a published USD price, and Peec’s pricing page shows no dollar figure on any plan. You might want Claude in the mix, or the chain behind an answer rather than a visibility and position read, or you might want your own agent to do the work over two-way MCP.

Omnipresence

Best for: teams that work with their own agent

Omnipresence is built for the team that wants to do the work in the agent it already uses. It joins each prompt to the fanout queries the assistant ran and the sources it read, including pages it retrieved but never cited, and it tells you whether you were recommended as a choice or only named in passing. On Pro and up, two-way MCP hands the target and the method to your own agent, so it can mark a page as being worked on, fire a run to check a rewrite, and log what it changed and when.

A measurement is a batch of probes reported as a rate with a Wilson confidence band, and control prompts stay unworked so a lift can be attributed. Plans start at $19 a month on Starter with read-only MCP, Pro is $69 with two-way MCP and retrieval scoring, and Agency is $239 with a separate model key per client project, all billed annually, with a 7-day trial on Pro.

Pros

  • The chain behind each answer: fanout queries, sources, and recommended versus mentioned
  • Control prompts and a Wilson confidence band, so a lift is attributable and the rate is honest
  • Two-way MCP on Pro and up, so your own agent does the work and logs it
  • Published pricing from $19 a month, with a 7-day trial on Pro

Cons

  • Four assistants only: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, with no AI Mode or AI Overviews (Peec tracks AI Mode)
  • You bring your own OpenRouter or OpenAI key and pay the model cost at list price
  • Top-choice data is partial: not every run returns a parseable ranked list

Otterly.AI

Best for: small budgets and a first test

Otterly.AI is the cheap, published-price way in. It tracks four engines on every plan and starts at $29 a month on its pricing page, with no sales call. Lite covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with 15 prompts a month, and Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons.

Pros

  • Published $29 a month entry price, no sales call
  • Four engines on every plan, including Microsoft Copilot

Cons

  • 15 prompts a month on Lite, a small sample
  • Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best for: teams that want a standalone toolkit from a known SEO vendor

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is a standalone product, so you don’t need a full Semrush plan to get it. It costs $99 a month per domain, billed annually, and tracks ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, with 25 custom prompts and one domain on the base plan. The per-domain pricing is the catch for a multi-brand agency, because every client domain is another $99 a month.

Pros

  • Standalone product, no full Semrush plan required
  • $99 a month per domain with a published price
  • From a known SEO vendor, so the reporting is familiar

Cons

  • Per-domain pricing stacks for multi-brand agencies at $99 per domain
  • Four engines, and no AI Mode tracking, which Peec offers

Scrunch

Best for: mid-size brands that want published pricing and broad engines

Scrunch tracks eight engines, more than Peec’s set, and publishes its prices. Starter is $250 a month billed annually for 350 custom prompts and 3 user licenses, on its pricing page. The eight engines it tracks, per its FAQ, are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Meta AI and Microsoft Copilot, with Grok coming soon.

Pros

  • Eight engines including AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot and Meta AI, more than Peec’s set
  • Published pricing from $250 a month, with 3 user licenses on Starter
  • Claude tracked on every plan, where Peec doesn’t list it

Cons

  • $250 a month entry is higher than Otterly or Semrush
  • DeepSeek not yet tracked, and Grok is only listed as coming soon

AthenaHQ

Best for: teams that want many models early

AthenaHQ is the alternative if you want breadth without paying up front. Its Essential plan is free, with 300 credits and five models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot), on its plans page. The paid Starter plan is $295 a month for 3,600 credits and eleven models, adding AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, and one credit equals one AI response.

Pros

  • Free plan with five models, so you can test before paying
  • Eleven models on Starter, including Claude, Grok and DeepSeek that Peec doesn’t list
  • Credit model is simple: one credit is one AI response

Cons

  • 300 credits on the free plan is a fixed ceiling, and one credit per response burns through them fast
  • The free plan covers only the five base models, no Claude or AI Mode

Goodie

Best for: teams that want a strategist in the loop

Goodie pairs the tool with a human AEO strategist on its Core plan. Core is $399 a month for 120 prompts, 5 seats and five models (ChatGPT, AI Overview, Perplexity, AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot), on its pricing page.

The Enterprise plan goes up to 13 models, adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, DeepSeek, Grok, Alexa for Shopping and Sparky. It also has an AI Agent Analytics layer for how AI crawlers and agents view and cite your site, separate from its product-visibility suite.

Pros

  • A human AEO strategist on Core, included with the software
  • Up to 13 models on Enterprise, the widest set on this list
  • 7-day free trial on Core, self-serve

Cons

  • $399 a month is the highest entry on the list
  • Core covers only 5 of the 13 models, so Claude and Gemini need Enterprise

Profound

Best for: enterprise teams that want a custom-priced AI visibility platform

Profound is built for enterprise teams, and it doesn’t publish a standard USD price. Its free trial runs 50 prompts a day for 7 days across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and Enterprise is custom, on its pricing page. Enterprise covers up to 9 engines, including Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude and Exa Search, which is broader than Peec’s set.

Pros

  • Up to 9 engines on Enterprise, including Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa Search
  • A free trial with 50 prompts a day across three engines
  • Enterprise-grade, sized for teams running AI search at scale

Cons

  • No published USD price, so you’re in a sales conversation to learn the cost
  • Sized and priced for enterprise, not a small team’s first tool

How much does Peec AI cost, and how the alternatives price

Peec publishes no USD price. Its pricing page lists Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise, with the first three marked Monthly and Enterprise marked Custom and Annual, and no dollar figure on any of them. The per-plan limits, prompts, seats and engines aren’t disclosed on the page either.

Six of the seven alternatives publish a USD price, and Profound doesn’t. Omnipresence starts at $19 a month and Otterly.AI at $29 on its pricing page, so those two are the cheapest way in. Peec and Profound are the two with no published figure, so both put you in a sign-up or a sales conversation to learn the cost.

How to choose a Peec AI alternative

Three questions decide which Peec alternative fits, and the first is which engines you actually need. Some engines are only tracked on a higher plan or as a paid add-on, so the plan you’d buy decides what you actually get. If AI Mode matters, Peec, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, Goodie and Otterly have it, and Omnipresence doesn’t.

If Claude matters, Omnipresence, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, Goodie, Profound and Otterly track it, and Peec doesn’t list it. If DeepSeek matters, AthenaHQ, Goodie and Profound cover it; if Copilot matters, Otterly, AthenaHQ, Scrunch, Goodie and Profound do.

The second is sample size and how pricing scales. Otterly.AI’s 15 prompts a month on Lite is a small sample, AthenaHQ’s credit model is a fixed ceiling, and Semrush charges per domain, so a multi-brand agency pays per client. Omnipresence and Scrunch price per seat or project, and Goodie and Profound are priced for larger teams.

The third is who does the work. Omnipresence hands the target and the method to your own agent over two-way MCP on Pro and up, Goodie puts a human strategist in the loop, and the rest are self-serve.

Peec gives you the visibility and position read. The question is whether you also want the chain that tells you what to change, and who does the work.

FAQ

Is there a free alternative to Peec AI?

Yes. AthenaHQ’s Essential plan is free, with 300 credits and five models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot), though 300 credits is a fixed ceiling. Otterly.AI’s $29 Lite plan is the cheapest paid option if you need more volume.
