Create a project
Create your first Omnipresence project and fill in the brand name, name variants, domain and competitors that every measurement depends on.

A project is one brand on one domain. It owns its prompts, its competitor set and its entire run history, and it is the unit your plan counts.
Create it
1. Start a new project
From the projects list, create a project and give it the brand's name. If you run client work, name it the way you would in an invoice, because this is the label you will scan down a list of twenty.
2. Set the brand name and its variants
Settings holds Brand name and Name variants. Variants are the other ways your brand shows up in an answer: the spaced version, the domain, the abbreviation, the common misspelling.
This is the single highest-leverage field on the page. An assistant that recommends "Rank Builders" when your brand name is stored as "RankBuilders" counts as a miss until the variant is there, and a week of undercounted score looks exactly like a week of bad results.
3. Set the website domain
Website domain decides which cited URLs count as yours. Enter the bare domain, no scheme and no path: rankbuilders.co rather than https://rankbuilders.co/.
If one domain carries several divisions that should be measured apart, set a URL scope too.
4. Add your competitors
Three to eight names you are genuinely compared against. Leave out the market leader if you never meet them in a deal, and leave out the rest of the category.
Share of voice is a share of something, and this list is the denominator. Too many names and your share looks small for no useful reason; too few and it looks healthy while the real rival is unmeasured.
Competitors are brands, not phrases. Adding a generic term like "insurance quotes" pollutes the comparison with language rather than companies, which is how a share-of-voice chart ends up measuring vocabulary.
5. Pick the vertical
The vertical tunes how answers are parsed and which prompt patterns get suggested. Pick the nearest fit; "Other" is honest when nothing fits and costs you only the suggestions.
Checking it took
Open Name matching under Presence. It shows the names found in answers mapped to your brand and to each competitor. After the first run, come back here and fix anything mapped wrong: it is the one screen where five minutes of attention is worth a week of data.
What next
Nothing runs yet. A project with no model key has nothing to run prompts with, so add a model key next, and then either let your agent set up the rest or do it by hand.
Questions about create a project
- How many projects can I have?
- As many as your plan allows active at once: one on Starter, five on Pro, twenty-five on Agency, unlimited on Enterprise. Paused projects do not count.
- Can I change the domain later?
- Yes, in Settings. Changing it changes which cited URLs count as yours from that point on; past runs keep the attribution they were scored with.
- Should a client get their own project?
- Always. Competitor sets, domains and prompt lists are per client, and mixing two brands in one project averages two markets into one number that describes neither.
